How
to Start a Team or Club
in SMS
Simply filling out the SMS Club Membership Application (available from the SMS Registrar) and sending it in with the appropriate annual fee (typically $30) will start the official process of establishing a USMS team or club in the Southern LMSC. Part 2 of the USMS Rule Book has more detailed information regarding Club Membership. You will need to select a team (or club) abbreviation that is to be approved by USMS (each team abbreviation has to be unique). You can view/download a USMS Club List to see which abbreviations are taken (except for the most recent registrations).
