Southern Masters Swimming (SMS) holds elections of officers for the Southern Local Masters Swimming Committee (SoLMSC) of United States Masters Swimming (USMS) as dictated by the SoLMSC Bylaws.  These elections in recent times have been run during the SMS LCM Championships, which are typically held in August.  Newly elected SMS officers typically take over their positions shortly after the election.  All positions are volunteer work.

Registrar
The registrar processes all club and individual membership applications for the SoLMSC.  This includes processing the funds received with membership applications.

• The Registrar will keep the web master up-to-date on the following information:
• Team and Club Registrations
• Including the Official Name and Abbreviation
• Officer Positions
• Name and Position
• Associated e-mail address
• Other contact information if no e-mail address is available
  

Top 10/Records
The records keeper maintains a database for all records and top ten standings in the SoLMSC.

• Description of the SMS Records Process
• Description of the SMS Top Ten Process

Web Site
The web master acts as publisher for edited content that is provided by sources within the SoLMSC structure.

• Primary tasks include:
• Maintain structure and content of the SMS web.
• Publish updates and changes in a timely fashion as they occur.
