RC Submarine
There are so many radio controlled models and toys which can be found available in the market that are used for different purposes. Some are for display purpose, while others are intended for fun. One of the remote control devices popular is the RC submarine.
RC submarines vary in sizes, from small ones that are used for aquariums or bathtub for fun to submarines that are as big as your bathtub designed for deep sea explorations. Just like any RC vehicles, RC submarines contain a handheld controller that corresponds with an on-board receiver enclosed to the water-tight compartment of the vehicle. The vehicle itself is submersible and works like a true submarine, only that it is small enough and no one can be fit inside. But though the electronic on board is designed to be water-resistant, the controllers are however may not be, so never dive into the water and go under with your controller and assume to run the RC submarine.

You can find RC submarines in the market that are ready-to-run (RTR) or you can build them from scratch (unassembled). RTR subs usually include toys for kids and sometimes larger ones for adults which bring entertainment and fun for few hours. These types of RC submarines usually are much cheaper and contain a limited speed and range. Basic function includes up and down and turning left to right.
There are two main groups of RC submarines: toy subs and hobby grade model. These two can have the ability to go underwater. The only difference is that hobby grades tend to go deeper and further away than toy subs can. Aside from that, they also differ from the cost. Usually, hobby grades are offered in the market unassembled, which means they have to be built-in from kits or scratch. Compared to toy subs, hobby grade models also have a much more realistic design that is mostly seen in movies and books.
There are also RC subs that come in radio controlled and remote control models. These devices are made for a very specific purpose and offered only for people with authority. Commonly, they used this for deep sea explorations and scientific purposes. This type of RC submarine is usually equipped with a camera to capture photos and videos in the deep sea. They can’t be purchased in a typical RC shop or local toy stores.
RC submarines are designed with different purposes. As you know, not all RC subs are meant for kids. There are models that are used for serious explorations and studies. If you want a model intended for simple fun and entertainment, you can find a model in a typical RC sub store or online market in cheaper and affordable prices. But if you are looking for more upgraded versions, like the ones used for explorations, you can find one in most RC submarine suppliers with higher prices.
With all that said, having your own RC submarine can truly bring you the experience of like running a true submarine in real life. Have fun!
